Introducing: Studio Time
Art making is one way I reconnect with my purpose, potential, and dignity. My mission is to offer beautiful art, meaningful products, and creative experiences to help spark that same connection in others. So far this year, that third item—creative experiences—has been elusive. As you know, the pandemic disrupted in-person meet ups, and now with a toddler and new baby, hosting workshops still feels a little daunting (securing hours of uninterrupted time is truly a luxury!). So, I’ve been trying to come up with a way to offer you some creative nurturing in a way that’s fun and sustainable for me.
And I have an idea: Studio Time.
Each month, I’ll send an email with a video that’s part studio vlog, part art demonstration, and part art club. The series will give us an opportunity to check in with ourselves and each other to ask, “What am I doing to nurture my creative practice?”
Each month, I’ll give you an update of what I’ve been working on, and I’ll introduce an art prompt that we can try together. I’m hoping that over time, we can form a community of practice by sharing how we each interpret the art prompt in our sketchbooks, and how our art practice is affecting our lives.
The first installment of Studio Time will launch later this month, so if you haven’t already, please sign up for my newsletter to make sure you get the email!
